Daniel and Robin Hughes

Founders of Lion’s Den Mentorship INC.

Daniel and Robin Hughes are the dedicated husband-and-wife team behind Lion’s Den Mentorship, bringing a combined 16+ years of law enforcement experience and a shared passion for empowering youth. Born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Daniel is a committed mentor, student guardian, and Dean of Students who has turned life’s trials into a testimony of hope and resilience. After surviving a life-altering incident that took away his athletic dreams, Daniel discovered his true calling in mentoring at-risk youth, helping them overcome challenges and realize their full potential.
Robin, a Central Florida native, serves as a federal law enforcement officer and is the first African American councilwoman elected in Mascotte, Florida. With over 13 years of experience in law enforcement and specialized training in youth mental health, crisis intervention, and behavioral management, Robin brings deep expertise in identifying early signs of risk and preventing juvenile arrests. Guided by her Christian faith, Robin leads with compassion, ethical principles, and a heart for transformation.
Together, Daniel and Robin combine their unique skills, life experiences, and faith to create a Christ-centered mentorship program that provides a safe space, guidance, and opportunities for youth to grow into confident, responsible leaders. Their vision is to break cycles of trauma and despair, offering hope and restoration to every young person they serve.
