Privacy Policy for Lion’s Den Connect

Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. respects the privacy of the individuals, families, volunteers, community members, and supporters we serve. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the Lion’s Den Connect mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Lion’s Den Connect, we may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
Name
Email address
Contact information
Event registration information
Information submitted through service or program request forms
Youth and family information provided for participation in Lion’s Den programs
Consent and media-release information
Attendance and program participation information
Administrative account and authentication information
We only seek information reasonably necessary to provide our programs, services, events, and administrative functions.
2. Youth and Family Information
Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. serves youth and families. Certain youth and family information may be maintained for legitimate nonprofit program administration, including enrollment, participation, attendance, consent, and related program records.
Access to administrative youth and family information within Lion’s Den Connect is restricted to authorized personnel. Public users of the app do not have access to these administrative records.
Parents and legal guardians may contact Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. with questions or requests concerning information associated with their child, subject to applicable law and appropriate identity or guardianship verification.
3. How We Use Information
Information collected through Lion’s Den Connect may be used to:
Register individuals for community events
Respond to service and program requests
Coordinate mentorship and youth programs
Maintain program and attendance records
Communicate regarding events, programs, or requested services
Manage authorized administrative functions
Protect the security and integrity of our services
Meet legal, safety, recordkeeping, or nonprofit operational requirements
We do not sell personal information.
4. Donations and Payment Information
Lion’s Den Connect may provide a link to a secure third-party payment service, such as Stripe, for donations.
Payment transactions are processed by the third-party payment provider. Lion’s Den Connect does not directly collect or store complete credit or debit card numbers through the app.
Information provided to a payment provider is also subject to that provider’s privacy and security practices.
5. Service Providers and Data Storage
We may use trusted technology providers to operate Lion’s Den Connect and securely provide its features. This includes services used for database hosting, authentication, application infrastructure, and payment processing.
For example, Lion’s Den Connect currently uses Supabase for certain database and authentication services and Stripe for external donation payment processing.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc.
6. Information Sharing
Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. does not sell or rent personal information.
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary:
To service providers that help operate our services
With appropriate authorized personnel involved in our programs
To comply with applicable laws, court orders, or lawful government requests
To protect the safety, rights, or security of Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc., our participants, or others
When otherwise authorized or requested by the individual or, where applicable, a parent or legal guardian
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse.
Administrative portions of Lion’s Den Connect require authentication and are intended only for authorized users. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our programs and services, maintain appropriate organizational records, satisfy legal or operational requirements, and protect the organization and the people we serve.
Individuals may contact Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information where applicable. Certain records may need to be retained when required for legal, safety, financial, nonprofit recordkeeping, or legitimate organizational purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. is a youth-serving nonprofit organization. The administrative portions of Lion’s Den Connect may contain information relating to youth participating in our programs.
The app is not intended to allow children to independently create administrative accounts or access confidential administrative records.
When information concerning a minor is collected as part of a Lion’s Den program, we seek to handle that information in accordance with applicable requirements and our program consent procedures.
Parents or legal guardians who have questions about information concerning their child should contact us using the information below.
10. Third-Party Links
Lion’s Den Connect may contain links to external websites or services, including event-registration, donation, or community-resource websites. Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. is not responsible for the privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites or services.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lion’s Den Connect, our programs, or applicable requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Lion’s Den Mentorship Inc. respects your privacy and provides users of the Lion’s Den Mentorship mobile app with a way to request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your Lion’s Den Mentorship app account, email admin@lionsdenmentorship.org with the subject line “App Account Deletion Request.”
Please include the email address associated with your Lion’s Den Mentorship app account so that we can identify and verify the account.
What Will Be Deleted
After the request is verified, we will delete the user's Lion’s Den Mentorship app account and personal information associated with that account from our active systems, including the user's account profile and account-related information that is no longer required for legitimate legal, security, or administrative purposes.
Information That May Be Retained
Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or meet legitimate security and record keeping obligations. Any information retained for these purposes will be kept only for as long as necessary for the applicable purpose.
Processing Requests
We may contact you to verify that you are the owner of the account before completing the deletion request. Once the request has been verified and processed, account deletion is permanent and the deleted account may not be recoverable.
